New meetup in Rocky River.
The latest project I have been working on is starting a bookclub and DIY projects meetup group. It is focused on Metaphysical topics as well as the occasional DIY project. Our first book selection is "The Light workers Way" by Doreen Virtue, PhD. We will be meeting and discussing the book November 15th and possibly again in December if more time is needed. Ongoing projects...
I have been busy brushing up on my skills! I enrolled in some courses, they include: "housekeeping 101", "advocating for the elderly", " tarot reading ", and " angel healing ". I am taking them through www.universalclass.com earning CEU's.
At the same time, I am learning more and more about homesteading, homeschooling, homemaking, and home businesses. I consider myself to be a "Radical Homemaker". I make and sell aromatherapy products, make recycled and repurposed crafts, I embrace frugal living, and the conserver lifestyle. I have a long way to go to get myself to the level of legitimate homesteading I would like to be at... But I am making steady progress! Wish me well, and I will keep you updated. Inspiring book and website, recommendation.
Hello,
A website I contribute to has inspired me to share this way of life with more people. The "off grid lifestyle" covers a wide range of people, interests and levels of commitment to the experience. They come to this choice for differing reasons as well. Some get involved for economic reasons, some because of experiencing foreclosures, some for spiritual reasons, some do it to help keep the ecosystem in balance. Many are frustrated with or have been harmed by the "business as usual" mentality in America, or see real moral implications with going along with a damaging set of beliefs, such as "the ends always justify the means". A deep sense of questioning has settled into the hearts of many Americans, and rightly so. Some have found some sense of solace, or purpose in some form and level of off grid living. Many of the people who make a partial or full transition to this way of living day to day find their sense of control over their own lives returning, as well as a sense of hope returning. I am well into the process of reading Nick Rosen's book: Off The Grid and I am enthralled by the stories and examples it contains. I highly recommend this book if anyone simply wants a fascinating read or a fresh perspective on life. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
Hello,
Just an update to thank everyone for bearing with me as I have moved yet again. Twice in under one year can be a lot of upheaval, and constant newness to adjust to! An exercise in adaptability I suppose. Luckily, I am really pleased with my "new and improved" location. I am now living and working in Brattleboro, Vermont. I look forward to settling in here more, and god willing staying put here at least for awhile longer this time! :) Anyway, my phone and email contact info remains the same so you can still reach me there. I hope everyone has a lovely holiday season, and I look forward to sharing more with you here, now that some of the chaos of moving around has begun to die down.
